Jardini vs Silver

Oooh, that's a good website. 150 gal wide (48 x 30 x 25 tall) big enough? What about 180 Gal. Wide (72 x 24 x 25)? These seem great!

well, i just came back from kentucky to find my jardini dead. it was killed by a 2 inch texas chiclid. the aro ate good and seemed to be aggressive but not twoards the texan. i dont know how a 7 inch jardini was killed by a 2 inch fish. what the hell! i guess i got to get a new one.

I'm shopping for a new tank and an arowana. My LFS can get a Silver for about 20 dollars, and a Jardini for 60. I would like to keep a few other fish with in the tank. I hear the Jardini can be started in a smaller tank because they don't grow as quickly, but they are more aggressive than the Silver....so it would need a huge tank to itself eventually. If I get a Silver and a 150 gallon tank, could my African Tiger Pike, Florida Gar and Snowflake eel be tankmates with it? Why is the Jardini three times the price of Silver? The guy at the shop is suggesting the Jardini.......but he may just want me to spend 40 more dollars....any suggestions or opinions?

Hi.... Why not try your hand on an Asian Aro....... 6" Green cost Sing$ 75.00 come with tag and cert. The blueish color is nice when fish grow older - 10" to 12".

Ah yes, the "platinum" silvers are probably my favorite aros... but, as I recall that specimen cost around $50,000 USD! :grinno:
