Thanks! It's not that bad, ~$130 a month on average, ~$100 spent on pellets and the rest on fish.
Once a week on Sundays. And 4 days a week Wed-Sat are pellet days. Pellet feeding is light. Three days a week is an uninterrupted fast - from Sunday night til Wed night.
I feed once a day at night.
If pimas beg so much their skin turns inside out, I succumb once in a blue moon. But usually they skillfully exaggerate their despairing.

I don't feed high quality high price pellet. I wish I could. The staple pellet is Zeigler finfish pellet 40% protein 10% fat at roughly $1 a pound including shipping or ~$30 for 44 lbs before shipping. I think this pellet is meant to be fed to farm fish raised for food.
Having dissected many fish that I lost, I can often see heavy fat deposits, some of which I am afraid are due to the low quality pellet.
Ziegler pellets account for 90% of the pellets I feed. 10% is NLS large fish formula.
@thebiggerthebetter do you know where I can get my hands on a jau catfish I’m sure some can bring these in unlike the wels cat I want another unique monster to keep?
