I feel your pain about high light and fast growing plants for sure...

I have finally gotten around to changing things around in my tank to be more friendly for bigger fish like larger Barbs. I has recently given some 4 inch + Roseline and I'd like to another type like Mascara or something else just as colorful but they are difficult to find locally for some reason. Still need to give the foreground some thought. We'll see what happens.

With a tank that size, what kind of fertilizers do you use? Beautiful!
I use dry ferts but it isn't a simple answer for me. My dosing depends on the plants I'm keeping and what symptom of deficiency I see. Or at times I do IE again depends on how demanding my plants are and if I have to increase my light and Co2 for them. Right now the tank is on cruise control low maintenance mostly crypts and anubias. With my crypts I keep them in containers as they are heavy root feeders I keep mineralized soil in the containers which reduces my dosing or eliminates it all together if I don't have other plants requiring it.

Not sure how I've missed this thread. Gorgeous tank.
Thank you.

Beautiful tank! I love the combo of Dennisons and Congos.
Thank you. I was hoping to keep fish that are active and constantly moving but the only time they all swarm is during feedings for the most part. The Denison do dart across the tank from time to time but even with 6 ft it's a short sprint.

Absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you.
