hey there guys......

decided to pick up a external canister today and got a good deal on a JEBO brand here in China of course....

anyone know anything about this company? yeah yeah....i know it isn't rena, fluval, eheim....but hey......$20 bucks US for a canister rated for 1000L / hr.....

doing a great job so far.....

but i wanna know if anyone has actually used one.....

again, i know Jebo isn't the best brand out there....but please, looking for comments from people who actually know something of the brand....

made in china doesn't always mean it is pure trash.....a lot of times labels are different but product is similiar.....

I agree that just because its made in china doesn't mean it shiet. Having said that though, Jebo isn't exactly produce the best quality of products. My dad has a 200g long Jebo tank in his office, and although it looks alright the overall feel is quite 'cheap'. Having said that I have a Jebo canister filter on one of my tanks that does its job. I have had it up and running for about a year and a half and i have had no problems with it. However, i don't expect it to last more than another 6 months before i'll replace it.

thanks for the input......

yeah, it obviously isn't the highest quality stuff - but hey, if it does the job at 1/3 the cost, why not.......all i know, my 40gal looks clearer than ever right now after 3 hours of having it on......

Ive heard of jebo lights catching fire because of poor ballasts.

Jebo is garbage complete garbage. read any review and you will see.

my jebo canister filter has been running for 2 years so far, happy w/ the purchase. its about the size of a fluval 404

The Jebo brand has a horrible international reputation for making cheap products of inferior quality. The only Jebo brand product I have used was a titanium heater I won as a door prize at a LFS grand opening. I actually used it without problems for about a year. The controller then crapped out. I still use the heater, about 4 years later, but on a Ranco controller.

i've had both the jebo/odessya versions. out of the 3 i bought last year, only the CFS 4 is still running (no problems with this version). the other 2 838's worked well for the first couple of months, but eventually they started to leak and seals were hard to get a hold of (i had to make some). the gph didn't seem quite what was advertised, but i don't really know how to calcualte gph, but i do know it wasn't very strong. over all, you get what you pay for. 5 out of 10
