That is so awesome... and those are alot of babies.. i love the jewels.. i wish i could get some to breed ..not this many though haha

ya they are.
i also have a few more pairs of them in my pond.
im sure there breeding but other fish eat the eggs/fry.
but i have plans to do multiple breeding tanks or one pond with just a bunch of jewel pairs.
then i will have a jewel factory

1st and 2nd batch were in a 10g inside.
parents are in a 10g on the porch with the 3rd batch of fry.
i moved the 1st and 2nd babies out to one of my multi tupperwares.
its a bit bigger.
i counted them as i caught them.
i know 10 were the 2nd batch but the total of 1st and 2nd is 44.
was 45 but net got one.
next im going to move the parents back inside where this all started lol
the 3rd batch will be going in the breeder net in the tupperware tomorrow.
the big fry are starting to fight thats why i moved them plus need room.
will they fight more as they grow?will i need to separate them at some point?
and check out the 2 beasts! unreal that both net pics are the same batches lol

i think if they do a 4th batch i will give them a rest and put them in the pond.

update
so last night the male jumped the separator.
and most likely chased the fm until the fm jumped out the small gap around the overflow and jumped out of the tank.
guess im done with breeding jewels for a while.
