They're about 3 inches. They were in with a bunch of gizzard shad. I was netting shad with my casting net to feed to my fish. Gizzard shad seem to be the most difficult fish to keep alive. I still have had no luck netting any small gar for my tank. Anyways here's the pictures.

Yeah I put them in a tropical tank for now. The lake I got them from has an 83 degree water temperature right now though. Yeah the white bass get around 20 inches I think. The drum could be considered the North American version of the pacu. It can get around 3 feet and 50 to 60 pounds I think. Thanks.
 
I love Aplodinotus grunniens...for spearing, for eating...and Im looking for one for a fish tank...I want one larger than that, but still in the 5-8" range most likely.

Cool that you were able to net one so small...I have never seen one smaller than 12" or so.
 
I really want a drum for my koi pond with a lmb and pacu which hopefully will survive the winter, if not, I won't be that sad, he's pretty mean, but can drum survive below freezing temps?
