Just double checking my Payara I.D 😁

My eyes are playing tricks on me but I want to share it here to double check first pic I think it's a armatus and second is red tail tat payara....from what I've seen online armatus has a slimmer head while the red tat has a more higher back. The only thing that's throwing me off is the reddish dot that I don't see...so maybe I might have two red tail tats! Doesn't matter what they end up becoming! Growing out to go with my ATF collection down the road so I'm going to enjoy it either way. I just want to make sure my I.D is somewhat close/correct

I wish I could find any armatus in the UK

You may have some big issues with all those as they grow I find armatus are the more aggressive by far so keep an eye on your ATF's

Quite the collection of grissle missles...... Must have one hell of a tank!??!!! Hopefully it ends better then most of the threads like this......

Been a few weeks - any behavioral changes??? If they end up being Armatus I'd assume the attitude will become pretty apparent any time now.....

There both red tail Tats imo.
Armatus have the distinct orange dorsal
Hydrolycus Tatauaia
They are amazing fish but grow extremely slow compared to Armatus. Mine got to 16" in a year my red tails grew to 9".
