Replying to my own thread jic someone else has the same question. The new ctenapoma's was much smaller than listed, under 1inch. I kept them in a 10gal for 14weeks. Reached 2.5" in that time. Then transferred him to the tank with the big ctenapoma.
Big guy swam over took a good long look at the new little ctenapoma, turned away. It's been a week they ignore each other BUT both fish hide a lot less often than they did when they were the only ctenapoma. Both spend most of the time in the lower/center of the tank, no territory splitting behavior.It couldn't have gone smoother.
