knife fish species?

Ok I thought that there was 2 species of knife fish (black ghost knife and clown knife) but terns out there are WAY more then i thought cud somebody give me a list of all the spices they know . So I can do more research on these fish thanks

There's two major groups that I'm aware of, the gymnotus knives of South America, Notopteridae of Asia and Africa then also the lone Aba Aba knife from Africa too. Rather different groups, personally I own some African knifefish

I can tell you the few I've had or really want. I have an Afer knifefish named Jacka$$ and a Black Ghost Knife named Eric, I used to have a carpo knife that bullied a 12" common pleco.

I have wanted a tiger or zebra knife. I would love an electric eel(yes it is a knifefish). Pelican knives are also real cool

Right now there are about 250 species of South American knifefish. Most of them are not very well known to scientists and maybe 5-6 new species are described every year.
