So far the separated black and red gf has been fine:
From 6 orfe down to last, one by one, over a couple of years. Temperature / too low DO or inadequate water change?
Indeed, after some time, cichlids probably cannot be kept with goldfish and koi:
Koi x goldfish hybrid, natural, 11 yo, 1.5ft/45cm, rescued 9 years ago.
Natural violence of goldfish spawn: vehement chasing, bumping, body-slamming, nudging, biting, jamming. Yet everyone survives fine. Just some missing scales.
