L236 Good Deal or Not?

I just picked up an 2" L236 for 22 bucks, was it a good price or not?

Very good price if is is a real L236. Why did you buy only one. It is one of my favorite Hypancistrus.

Is there a specific way to differentiate them? They have 3 more.

Can you tell me how to differentiate them. It appears that the two pics you posted are of two different species. The larger appears to have the thicker black banding like the one I purchased, while the smaller pic you posted has much thinner banding. Are they both supposed to be L236.
Don't get me wrong whether mine is L236 or not I am very happy with the patterning and color especially for only 22 bucks. Just trying to find out if I should get the other three also.

One is adult, one is fry L236.

If you want to get the others then great, $22ea is a bargain for 399/400.

Look up PC and view all 3 types 399/400/236.
