Large clown loach prices?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I couldn't get very good pictures. They were hiding in the logs and big piece of driftwood. There was indeed a 10" loach, and 4 7"+ ones as well.

Wow. I'm jealous! Hopefully you put some money down. Or else I'll have to figure out how to get them across the border into Buffalo! :)

Beautiful fish and looking very healthy.

I did put money down. MINE! :P I should have them before the end of this upcoming weekend. I'll probably sell off most/all of the other fish.

Great looking loaches. Did you ask on age of them if they are the original owner? 7" ers are probably 5-7 yrs. and 10" is 7-10.

I certainly did. The guy I'm buying all of this from is an older man, probably in his early 60s. I'm not sure if he's just really forgetful or what, but he INSISTS that he has only owned these clowns for a little over 3 years starting at 2". He's the only "owner" aside from exporter/LFS. The tank wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen. I honestly have no clue how they are even alive to be truthful lol. There's at least 100" of fish in that 90 gallon and he only does 15% water changes a MONTH, with no live plants, Purigen or anything that absorbs nitrates. It's a miracle.

Hmmm...... Ask him if he thinks our current president Bill Clinton is doing a good job. If he says yes or no, then it's a timeline problem. :D

Lucky dog. I NEVER see large loaches. So far my records for seeing "live" big loaches are a clown at about 7in and a yoyo that was a good 6in, abandoned at a local fish shop. I'd think with all the little ones around the bigger guys would be a bit more common.

You'd think so. However the average fish keeper can't usually keep anything not extremely hardy (goldfish for example) for more than a year. Clowns are prone to ich especially when small, and I think a majority of them die before they even hit 3" unfortunately. My largest loach that I had seen in person before today was about 8.5"
