This^^^Are we talking about large fish which are natural jumpers, as in jumpers in the wild too?
Or large fish which regularly jump in enclosed undersized glass boxes where levels of footfall, shadows and distractions are high!!
I believe, in most cases, that "notorious jumpers" are a result of how the hobbyist keeps the fish.
I’ve been keeping an arowana for over six months now, and I always heard they were jumpers. Surprisingly, mine has only jumped twice. The first time was when it outgrew its grow-out tank, and I knew it was time for an upgrade. The second time was when I accidentally dashed into my room, scaring it. Since then, it’s been living like any other regular fish in my pond, which I keep uncovered with no net or lids—just a natural pond setup.
