Largest & Smallest Arowana Species?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you're saying the largest in the arowana family then the Arapaima is the largest, Jardini is the smallest among the other Asian arowana.

Jardini is australian, not asian.

It's all in the video I posted ! :)

The video shows a huge arowana, it has not been measured(just listen to the narative) so it's not even confirmed 4 footer let alone the "a lot of bull on the internet" four and a half foot that you are spewing :screwy:

Not intended to confuse the issue but, the smallest Osteoglossiformes species is Pantodon buchholzi; the African Butterfly fish. Excellent "dwarf" aro for smaller accomodations.

Yes they are bonytongues. Cousins of the arowana, as Phil said.

They are not suited to cope with gars. They are skittish, nervois, and like a quiet environment. If you go their route, they should be the only surface feeders in that tank.
