I am intreasted to see how large she will actually get in the end. I do like the fact she’s bulking out alot lately, she’s getting very girthy and much deeper but I have to remember the huge sail fin adds a lot to her depth , I’m hoping this means she can stay in the new tank long term and not become a potential snack for the piraiba when it’s larger.

Great! Sorry about my confusion. I quit citing the SL Standard Length a while ago, everyone talks about total length all the time on the forums. After years of trying and citing SL, I saw no sense to battle it out anymore haha... Great to know though. This means well over 3ft TL. Wow!

And the TL is measured to the fork of the tail, if there is one. This also escapes 99.99% of our peers, so I stopped explaining that. Everyone wants their fish to be bigger, myself included so tip-to-tip has become it for me great many moons ago...

I’ve been trying to get a picture with a tape measure next to her. Although, everytime i go near the tank. She thinks it’s feeding time and she doesn’t stop cursing around.
