Lemon oscar turning orange

Yes, yes it is. Lemon Oscars are just a color mutation of the regular lutino red Oscars. Some may stay yellow but the majority of em will turn orange-gold in color. Also don't be surprised if it starts growing black fins as it's just a left over trait from their ancestors. Here's what mine ended up like at 10in for comparison.

Any line-bred fish (those type oscars included) have the ability to change, as latent genes evolve.
Some revert to varying degrees of natural coloration, some other colors. Whatever is part of their background in the many line of ancestors.

Keep in mind that yellow fish will also turn orange if there are red enhancers, either natural or artificial, in their food. Almost every commercial fish food includes astaxanthin in some form, which is the carotenoid pigment naturally found in things like krill, shrimp, and salmon. People who buy yellow discus often get upset when they turn orange, and it's almost always due to the astaxanthin found in cichlid pellets/flakes.
Yup. My Oscar started off copper then turned red. Now he's a combination of his adult and juvie pattern!
Young Oscar's will only tell you general information like if its a tiger or solid at best.
My case in point. This O started with just six dots on each side.

Quite a change. Genes, food, water conditions can all alter final appearance.
