FBN are also poisonous so why would you want to keep them with leopard geckos if you know the chance of them getting eaten/bit is high?
true i just realized that FBN have salmonella on their stomachs and is the geckos eat them it could it could be bye bye geckos :(
what kind of geckos should i get? I was thinking leopard but everyone seems to have those and they are quite pricey for my cheap salary. i was looking at one called a Chinese cave gecko and they seemed pretty cool. Any suggestions?

If this is your first lizard then I would definitely recommend a leopard gecko. Price mainly depends on the color phase. The more common colors are usually not that expensive. Are there any reptile shows coming to your area? If so you could find one for fairly cheap there. If you lived closer I could give you a baby one for pretty cheap.

The one with a stumpy tail is a crested and the other is a gargoyle gecko. Do plenty of research on the two, they have to be kept differently then leopard geckos. They are also arboreal so make sure you have a tall tank with lots of things to climb on.

Oh, come on now! Thats not the spirit. I would definitely try and work something out. It'll be a challenge, but everyone needs those once in a while. Leopard Gecko's and fire bellied newts come from entirely different places on the globe. Eventually the Geckos will be big enough to eat the newts (which they will do if given the chance) and the newts (Chinese fire bellied?) won't get big enough to scare the reptiles off. However I think if you do some research on different terrariums you could figure out a way to set up a water dish with plenty of live plants and hiding places. Leopard Geckos may be desert Reptiles, but they do benefit from humidity from time to time. Mixing herps definatly isn't something that everyone should try and do, but if you can pull it off, it's pretty rewarding....
Oh men I just had diner:barf::grinno:
