Is this a TSN X Ripsaw hybrid?

Certainly looks that way.
I would expect this to be a fish which comes naturally with a number of health issues.
Yet again the stupidity and arrogance of man shines through as a leading trait.

+1. I thought red tail catfish/paroon shark hybrids were bad enough, but it looks like I was incorrect.

I heard of one a few years ago but it didn’t last very long-

Yes, the abomination of a TSN crossed with an Oxydoras. Barely viable or perhaps fair to say non-viable long term project of human waste and arrogance, agree with Dave 100%.

I was NOT advocating for its existence, no excited for it. I was asking if that’s what it was- as you seem to know Rod and catfish

I understood. I was not implicating you of anything, not my place, nor my business :) Merely stating my general disposition towards these frankensteins and their creators.

Also, having read what Rod wrote about them has conditioned my reaction some more... But I understand. Rod's also a businessman. It's up to us, the consumers to be aware that these fish are junk. If we don't buy them, they won't sell them, hence won't make them. Pipe dream but worth dreaming.

Predatory Fins: Description This is one amazing catfish. It is a new strain of hybridized ripsaw catfish. It features a light purplish grey body and black leopard marking. The ripsaw catfish is a species of thorny catfish native to the Amazon, The ripsaw catfish will reach a length of three feet, featuring a unique set of scutes (bony plates) that run horizontally along the lateral line. This Leopard catfish is sure become one of our new favorites and we will definitely be growing some out for our display tanks.[UNQUOTE]
