I adopted Luna (German Shepherd/border collie mix) on my birthday about a year ago. At the time she was 9 months old and had spent the first 8 months of her life as a stray near Bakersfield. She had a real bad case of tapeworms and has some head trauma that causes her jaw to continuously clench and her head to bob slightly like a tick (presumable from being hit my either a car or a person). Almost 12 months later and she stays right next to me or my fiancée every second and she’s the smartest animal I’ve ever met. She’s who really taught me animals have emotions, very sentient human thoughts and the reason I try to go the extra mile for all my fish and pets to keep their quality of life as high as possible. Would definitely die to protect her, no second thoughts. She’s like a big cuddly fox!
