lets see your koi........

The outdoor pond is only partly iced over. I have a heater in the pond to keep the ice from forming in the river or getting too thick on the main part of the pond. Thick ice really plays hell with concrete. However the heater plays hell with the electric bill....but how can you put a price on precious babies?

I have 2500g outside and instead of heater i am using air pump that is in my basement( 75F) that is pushing the warm air into the water with help of two 12" air stones.today is 19F and still no ice.The cost is $5 a month.However the moist air from my basement becomes ice over time and blocks the tube so once a week i have to dip the tube in warm water and blow it,but that is it.

The dogs swim with the koi all the time. Obviously the fish don't care. They like to pull the dogs' tails.
Fish in the pond at work. The butterflys are 3 years old.

Could someone PM me about this i just wanted to know what size pond do you need for 20 koi and what do they eat? do they need any heating? and how much can koi be?.
