Congicus grow big fast. 50 cm in the first year is not uncommon. Get yourself some and grow them out.

The biggest of mine is the 1st congicus on the pic, it's now 23"+, others in the same tank are over 14". Here's a real long fin senegal FYI:

Yes, that's mine. It's infact only 8" plus, but, the anal fin is big indeed (as a boy )
