Ironmunki, that is definitely retropinnis! Good eye!

After a few weeks when it settles in, the dorsal color will turn almost black and the green shine will really pop out. It's belly should turn yellow too.

here is a a new bichir I just got today. went to a lfs for worms and i saw this guy in with some albinos senegals. they had him labeled as palmas but from the pics i've seen he didn't look like one. i asked and two of the guys working there argued over whether it was a palmas or a "marbled" bichir.

i looked up marble bichir and found a pic of a retropinnis which i was hoping it is. can anyone confirm? either way i already like this guy alot.

Thanks, guys. I thought it was a retro but wasn't sure. The folks at the lfs were not much help so I gambled and bought him. Glad I did.

Yeah that and when I came home this morning my Del was hanging out with them. I think he thinks they are just some Dels that need some plastic surgery LOL

I just drove for 2 1/2 hours today to pick up a girlfriend for my male Senegalus. I think he appreciates it cause he's been following her around like a love sick school boy. It was a drive well worth it I picked her up for $29 at a LFS she's a solid 8" long. My male is about 6".
