Leucistic Vs Platinum?

They’re both leucistic....the “platinum” ones are ones that are whiter (not tan/off white) and more desirable

LEUCISTIC in animal husbandry means most, but not all, of the color is missing, so all that's left is YELLOW color. Leucistic pet birds or fish means they are a mutant yellow color, like a leucistic (non-gray) cockatiel or a yellow leucistic axolotyl. Also that bichir in the picture above in the leucistic bichir link is yellow. Bichirs do come in a yellow color, and that's what that is.

PLATINUM means non-albino, dark eyes, sparkling pure WHITE.
 
It looks like this company is just using the term leucistic to refer to light yellowish albino. But I have seen pictures of pure yellow bichirs.
