LFS in NJ, PA, NY Tri-state area?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the op mentioned allaquatics ...when it comes to FW monsters that store is a joke (or at least was 5 months ago when I was there)
a decent store that nobody mentioned is Ely's Tropical Fish in Florham Park (near Morristown) ......that being said, imo, nothing comes remotely close to the huge selection and quality you find at Shark Aquarium.

I can definitely agree not a Monster store. I use them for quick purchases when I realize at the last minute I'm out of something and need it. IE: Prime, Test kits, Air stones, etc etc. But I have to repeat I have only found similar or better Customer care in a couple of places.

I've been greatly disapointed with the rest.

Yeah the store at the Brunswick circle sometimes has a decent stock but their prices are alittle high ! Shark aquarium is the best LFS I ever been to !

I usually go to Allquatics (Hamilton/Trenton), Pet Shanty (Scotch Plains), Animals and Things (Woodbridge) and my favorite The Shark Aquarium (Hillside) between these four stores I can get anything I need.

And how could I forget my buddy The Fish Junky (Monroe/Jamesburg) not a store but local and can get me anything I can't find.

That helps me because I've heard of Absolutely before and have been itching to take the drive.I will trust your rating and save gas by not making that trip lol....What about Pet Shanty?..It is a few miles down the road from Sharkaquarium and although I've only been there once,it was a nice store and I will visit again when I am in the area and have time to stop in.Who's been there?

I did a thread last year about that store and shark aquarium. I went to SA first so that store wasn't anythin special in my eyes !

I used to buy dog food from Animals and Things. Good prices and selection for supplies, horrible staff and very poor health condition of live stock....all their fish had either ick or parasites.

Yes agreed, I don't buy fish there but it's good for supplies with a big selection.
