Life span of walking catfish

I have had a walking catfish now for about 18 months. She is over 12" long and still growing. I have read they can grow to 24" but I haven't found anything on their expected life span.

Does anybody know how long a walking catfish is expected to live?

they dont live long in florida since they are to be killed upon finding and you hope fish and wildlife don't find you with some... also the same way with snakeheads.

I have read about the damage these guys can do to fish stocks in water bodies throughout the southern states and can understand why they are banned. Fortunately my walker is in Canada where the water temperature is less than ideal for them and they pose less of a threat. Still, I would never release my baby into the wild!
