Please someone help me to chose 2 36' light fixtures or 1 72 ' long fixture
I'm looking at T5 or pc don't matter really. Don't have canopy . So fixture will need mounting legs for sure.Should i go for one long fixture or two short one instead?

I agree, if your going without a canopy, get one long fixture the length of the tank. It's a big focal point of the tank and two smaller ones will look tacky IMO. I am allowed to say that cuz I have two smaller ones and wish I didn't... :grinno:

Thanks for all the replys . I 'm going to stock africa ciclids. I want my whole tank light through out. So 72' is not as common as the others. What you guys and girls think should i get? I was looking at odyssea 72' with blue led lights. How about this one here

Are they good light fixture? Pretty good price. I can't find anything 72' on ebay.
What brand you would recommended?

lol I'm sorry to be nitpicky but you're having me lmao right now reading your title and posts. 72' = 72 feet 72" = 72 inches the way your posts and title are, they indicate that you're setting up a 72 foot aquarium. lol

typically there are more bulb options for 2 36" light setups so that would be my choice.

that brand is not a "quality" one
will it work yes. its probably the best price you will find new.

but you need to realize you dont need all that light, as thats a light for plants or corals. in a tank not setup or maintained for growing those it will just algae problems.

i would probably recommend a retrofit kit(reflector and bulb connectors you screw into a canopy) of 2 bulbs or so. you can get them at a hardware store probably, i would buy actual aquarium bulbs as i think they make the fish look better

Do you have the acrylic light housing that came with the tank? If yes, then I suggest getting the Current USA retrofit T-5. They're low power and super bright.

oh never mine you dont have a canopy. i would recommend some tops(glass plastic doesnt matter), and then a couple short flourscent lights as there easier to find.

I was thinking that as well. Can i use acrylic to cover the two opening top or you think glass top better. Not bow as easy as acrylic?
That would be my dream tank (72")foots long tank lol........
