Location of Cichla in Brazil

I just noticed something...
Pay attention to those dates on pictures. Range from early June to mid October.

I doubt breeding season last that long??? Unless people forgot to adjust date on their camera.... but again unlikely especially for something so special.............

Maybe this species always maintain that color, just become MORE INTENSE during season.

Does that mean Fogos stay FUEGO HOT all year long?? ¡Qué calor! :character0087::angryfire ¡Cuidado con la temperadura!

Definitely coolness if they stay red for more than just the spawning season.

Nice observation.... that's why you get paid the big bucks ;)

Are you working this Friday?

Amazon River Basin

I was looking at this map today and thinking............... should I start this or not??
If so... where should I start and where should I end ????? Look at this !!!
So many unfamiliar names.. maybe it's a good idea to start something familiar first and see what happen..... rio negro... ( cichla sp. nigromaculata....) rio madeira ( cichla sp. madeira )....... Well, let me start with Xingu then.
As I was gathering these pictures also realized....... they all look so much alike, yet are different. Who came up with Xingu I, II, and III ??? why making speciation nomenclature such as difficult thing.

Please, if someone knows this information... provide to us.
