Ok, I've now had my 3' Tire Track Eel jump out of my tank twice :( Not sure she's going to survive this second time (she must have been out for over an hour and a half! - I was certain she was dead when I found her). There is nothing wrong with the water conditions. I'm not sure if she's just been startled or what. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to think of a way to lock down the glass top (thinking maybe a flat curtain rod, and use the brackets to secure it on the tank edges). This is a 125gal tank. It is, however, shorter than the 90gal tall she used to be in.
Thanks!

oh cool! Thanks so much! I hadn't thought of either of those :)

Has anyone else had their monster fish try to jump out?
My polys, hoplias, erythrinus and black spotted eel.

I had a 14" black shark catfish that committed suicide by jumping out of the tank, somehow displacing a heavy lid, and the lid fell back into its precise position as if set there by hand. No-one at home at the time, my daughter arrived home to find a dead fish on the floor, the lid still on the tank, and couldn't work out how it got there.
