tbh i wouldn't care about anything written on reptile forum uk. it became the only go to place over here when all the good uk reptile sites closed down in the mid 00's. it was run by people who don't have a clue and most of its members were people banned from the good sites also not having a clue. i was a big reptile keeper in the mid 00's but once all the good community closed we were left with a select few over here and suddenly everyone became an expert on there. most of the good keepers/breeder came off the net altogether and only use that site to advertise there stock list and nothing more. most of the keepers on there don't have a clue about reptiles let alone anything else, that said there are a few on there that do know there stuff but they are far out weighed by the idiots.

I'm from the uk and been on this site for a short time (compared to some), I have a limited experience with cichlids from years of keeping but im bo no means an expert and this site give me the information I need to learn and i have never felt this is a US only site, in fact the inly reason i got my dovii is through this site.
 
Lol Yupp that was me that got slated, told I was and idiot and didn't know what I was doing, by all means I am definitely no expert when it comes to fish, but I do know my fair share of basic information when it comes to snakeheads and other tropical fish, I only know this mostly from the experienced keepers on here from when I was keeping them in the wrong conditions because that's how I was told to keep them by the person I purchased them off.

I was quickly corrected on the correct way to keep the species I had back then, think it was Bleheri, but obviously they haven't got a clue and don't even want to take the correct advice on board because they saw me as the idiot purely on the fact that I was the only person who was correct, which made me the idiot.

put an expert in a room full of muppets and the expert becomes the muppet. (I'm no expert but you get what I mean)
 
Hey atleast you know you were giving out sound info, just hope enough people saw what you were saying and thought "maybe hes on to something, more research!" Lol. Well atleast i hope thats what happened.
