Just to clarify, a Venutus is a hap and not a mbuna. I had a 10" male and he terrorized the tank. Fought constantly with a 9" fusco.

I had a 10" venustus almost kill my pbass that was about 14". They will kill anything once mature
It has been a hotly debated subject on hereand other forums..but I too have seen it. That Auratus became so aggressive it killed many larger fish and had to be culled from the group.....
My venustus has already started terrorizing the tank a little bit. No chunks missing from anyone's fins yet, but he's the one who's chasing people down. He's also growing faster than anything besides the moorii. If he keeps getting more aggressive I may have to pull him to protect everyone else. It's unfortunate though because he's a beautiful fish with a lot of personality. My kenyi actually hasn't been aggressive at all. My little peacock is meaner than he is (at least so far).
