Looks like someone dosent want their TANKED tank anymore.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don't like the show but if I was single, I would be buying that tank now.

The shape is actually not bad, and a 48 inch tall tank is awesome to look at.

Some of the tanks they have built are not really practical for keeping live animals in as they do not appear designed for appropriate water flow and air exchange in my opinion.

The show "fish tank kings" come out and maintenance their tanks when they build it for customers(for a monthly fee) I remember one of the guys said I went with them for my 800 gallon reef so I can leave for a week or so and they can maintain it.

Alot of people who buy tanked tanks don't know how hard or expensive it is to keep a reef. It might be pretty but you'd have to do weekly water changes for it to look like it did the day of the install.

i think it's the customers fault for the terrible design and stocking , and maintenence, not the tanked employees. They have to go along with whatever moronic idea their customer wants if they wish to make a profit and all they can really do i convince the customer to spend more money and/or make choices that are manageable. Let's face it, when has a person with little to no idea on how fish tank systems work makes a stocking or visual request, your more likely to get a hole in one while golfing then get a workable and affordable idea. |For instance Wades octopus tank is, in my opinion horribly decorated, but it is a much more maintainable setup and, to me, appears almost ergonomic in maintenence setup. plus the stock is only the octopus and maybe a chromis of some sort so as to be completely manageable. Given that it appears in good conditions whenever the camera is in wades office it reasons that it is a well designed and maintained tank.

It would be interesting for someone to compile a list of places from both shows and have the peeps here on the forum local to each of the locales check in and see how many of each shows' tanks are still there.

It would be cool if there was someone on the forum that was involved.

if u ever watched tank ull see how they act like complete idiots.

Just remember it's a TV show, not real life. Both shows are geared towards reality TV fans who are watching for drama, not a 'how to' on building a fish tank. The crew from ATM actually did an interview talking about how they aren't trying to show what really happens, but are adding to the 'flare' for the show. I heard a rumor that FTK has brought in someone that will be talking more facts about the animals that are on the show.

I wish they would show how much they sell the tanks for on the show.

Either company is just a phone call or email away if you want to get something priced.

Both ATM and Living Color have departments that are specifically for customer tank care - for tanks they sell and ones they don't.

I thought for the tanks on the show you just give them an idea/theme and they donate the tank, you only pay for stock. Obviously full retailp
