Special Water Care: None
Diet: A deeper water pleco that sifts through the Aufwuchs (organic biofilm) in search of food. Protein based foods and vegetables should also be offered. Worms, molluscs, larvae and peas are among favourites. Lots of conflicting information on diet regarding this species, but has similar diet to Baryancistrus species.

Locality: Venezuela: Upper Orinoco

Notes: Adipose and dorsal fins are connected. Another Ancistrini species that was just bundled into as shows characteristics making it unsure exactly what genus it fits into (or needs a new one). However has many more Baryancistrus qualities, and little Panaque similarities.
