magnum canister filters???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got one of those for my sister, course I ended up doing all the mainenance and cleaning of it. I think it is best for the price. I would definitely recommend the quick disconnect valves as well. When I did the cleaning all I did was put a small towel on the ground folded it was 2 foot square. That was enough to contain the spillage for me, didnt soak through the towel even. If I were to use one now on my fish tank though I think I would put on a prefilter sponge on the intake, to stretch out the need for cleaning the container filter a bit longer.

I have a Mag 350 and have never found it hard to work with. Make sure to get the quick disconnect valves. The O-Ring is important as well, make sure to use vaseline or something to lube it so it will get an airtight seal. They are a workhorse filter!

ihad 2 on my 210 and they worked just as good as 1 fxf that i have now just buy a couple 3-5 gallon buckets and sit themin that whenits time to clean just take off lid and if any water comes out it wil go in the bucket

I just got a HOT 350 but only use it to do gravel vacs.Don't have enough water pressure for python.Easy enough to pull off the tank and take to the tub to empty and rinse.

that hot is gonna be kind of to much for a 20gal unless u want a heavy current in your tank :D

sounds cool but just know that that little hot pushes some water :D i have 1 on my 125 and it gives the whole tank a current so take that for what its worth
