Mahseer information?

Would love to own a mahseer. Another beasty that is also really cool is the mangar (luciobarbus esocinus) and they look very simmilar to the mahseer. Somewhere on the net I've heard these guys are known for plucking birds from the surface and that dictators in their region used to feed them prisoners as a form of torture, which seeing their potential size seems plausible.
Anyway I've also tried getting info on them from the net, but seems that they haven't been exported for aquarium use or as aquaculture species, and not alot of info on behaviour and spawning is available.
Probaby because of the turmoil in most of that area.

There is LFS here that currently has a Golden Masheer. He is about 4 inches or so. Only one Ive ever seen. Id pick him but I could never keep him to adult hood.

He looks nice. What kind is it? It doesn't look like a putitora, might just be lighting though. Looks good though!

That kinda looks like a Neolissochilus Stracheyi. I have 12 of the copper version Neolissochilus Hex.
