A couple of questions: And how fast do the socks clog? You have some filter pads under the the drip plate, are you finding the socks are not catching enough? Correct me if I am wrong but the blue filter pad is less fine then the socks. The order does not make sense to me.

Help me with the two pumps into one hose set up. What is the benefit of that instead of two separate inputs to the tank?

You have done such an awesome job, so I hate to sound like a downer.

The completion of the filter was a rush job.

I will have to let you know about the socks, its only been running for a few days.

The filter pad was from my other w/d its there to kick start the filter, along with 3/4 of the scrubbies,& some foam.

I did the pump that way because its what I could make work with what I had.
There are much better ways of doing it then I did.

No downer. :)

This filter looks very well thought out. Will it be okay in the long run with all the bracing removed fron the top of the tank?

The plastic bins under my 300 keep in stress cracking from the weight of the drawers I am using to hold the media. I have a 60g I might have to try this on.

Thanks.
I think it will be fine, with the extra vertical pieces of glass.
