male betta not picking up eggs

I have bred my Betta fish i think the eggs were laid this morning i removed the female. everything looks good but there are about 20 eggs below the nest on the floor of the tank that the male is not picking up is this normal?

sometimes they fall from the nest as well, he should eventually pick them all up, but it is a tuff job.

i tryed to breed betta fish but i never know how...always wanted to breed them

My males have never left them for long. Especially once the female is gone, his attention ought to be focused entirely on egg maintenance. Is this his first batch? He might just need some practice.

Hi, I am new to the hobby and the same thing happened with me while breeding betta. I tried guiding my betta to the fallen eggs with a torch light and it worked. I am happy to share it with you.
