i recently put some marbled stone in my fw tank and was wondering if it was bad on the fish i have only had two to die since then and i think it was caused by bullying by my goby heres a few pics of the marble. thanks alot
marble will increase the gH and kH (hardness) of your water over prolonged periods of time and also raise the pH over long periods of time. Make sure, as stated above, that no residues are on the marble (grout, glue, polish, etc)
thanks for the help and there was no glue or grout of any kind thanks alot for the help and will the buffering finally stop, i tested my water yesterday and my ph was 6.5 and amm. 0 and nitrate 10 and nitrite 0
Hi
I agree with HarleyK. there some article explain how rock effect water chemistry. (http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/qa/f/faq0017.htm). The article show you how to test the rock before youput it in your aquarium.
