Mata mata grow rate?

my lfs got some 3-4" in stock and I was wondering what the grow rate on these turtles is?

yes get one while you can..it is an amazing turtle to have.

do mata mata or some similair species produce a foul smell, when it get disturb?

I have 2 babies and the big one...never brought one from one end to the other...but from what I've heard, I would say that Cichla is more near it...of course it depends also, ( as with everything ) on keeping conditions and food given....

let me tell you that it is an awesome beast t o have, be they small or big .. My matas hunt and corner prey ( yes, they are used to live )

Ok, well I kinda like a slow growing turtle. It will give me some time to before I have to get him a big tank. I will reserve it tomorrow Need to clear up some space for the little one before I can pick it up.
