Matching temperature during water changes

Unsightly? You've got me stumped with that one; I tend to forget that not everyone's tanks are kept in a basement that resembles the one in Silence Of The Lambs. :)

It's tough to find a wife who shares your values and interests and who is a gourmet chef and skillful fishing partner. If she also needs to look like a supermodel, well...good luck! :)

Is your tank filtered with a sump? If so, firstly, congrats on the wise choice...and secondly, just install the thermometer down there. You of couse need to open the cabinet to read it, but you are going to do that in any case during a water change?

Okay okay, I am dramatizing about appearance, but I do try for minimalist, in terms of cords , hoses, etc.
….Whoa, where do you know my wife from???
No I haven’t used sump systems—I have several HOB (Marineland penguins) and a couple of tanks with under gravel (my favorite from many years ago.). I also use Marineland’s magnum canister with DE for cloudiness.
