I have 3 and one is quite darker then the other 2 but it hides a lot more then the others. The 2 light ish looking ones in the photos are always out at the front of the tank checking what’s going on whereas the darker ones stay hidden awayFemales usually have some dark markings in the dorsal that males lack, and when spawning females really color up.

I think we may be getting ready to breed
They have taken over the middle of the tank behind a slate pleco house / cave and they are showing some colours I’ve never seen before.
They are also doing the side by side dance
Any tips on the breeding process ???

I’m going to try get a pot tomorrow as it seems she is struggling to find the right spot to lay, there is 2 bits of flat slate done the end that they are guarding and she’s cleaned it off twice now.Try putting in a big clay pot, do a big water change
