Wow thats a huge timmy... I was actually arguing with my wife that it had to be a congo till I saw your post. He is a beautiful bird for sure. We have two Greys, both congo's, and we have had them for over 10 yrs. Both were baby rescues from a bad pet store and our girl shorty cost us a ton in vet bills when we got her. Both are happy, healthy , drunken sailor mouthed , bundles of fun.

Here's a pic of them. First one is the girl Shorty , second is Pepper the big boy and the last 2 are Mona the Senegal and Scooter the tiel

oh just beautiful .... i mean gorgeous... all of them... scooter the tiel looks like my charlie i lost after 22 years... tiels are great too.. but grays are the ultimate bird for me... bundles of fun is the perfect description.. thanks so much for sharing all your sweet guys,..

Thanks for the compliments. Scooter is about 8 yrs old...he's the only tiel we have ever had that talks...sooo funny. It's like listening to a little transistor radio. We actually had a SUPER SWEET Moluccan too for a while but he was driving me out of my friggin mind in a 1 story 1000 sq foot house. Sleeping in past 5 was never gonna happen. He was the best bird I have ever owned, but being a spoiled rotten rescue he never could adjust to cage life and "you are not the center of my world" time. He eventually went to live with an older couple that had a huge aviary and he has become their star bird.

My Senegal was a B-day gift from the better half. We would go to the bird store for feed and that little guy would come off his play stand and march across the floor to me every time. I had come to find out I was the only person he ever did that for and when I heard that I had to get her. My wife surprised me a few days later. We have no clue of her age and would guess 15 or so.

It feels like it was just days ago we where hand feeding ours...geez time flies.

cockatoos are beautiful..but grays are the best personality in my opinion.

when i bring my cockatoo into the cage at night that is in the same room as Mr cash.. she will yell for awhile... during this time each and every night you will hear mr cash say... shut up! go to sleep ... be quiet... until she is quiet... for us he will yell into the next room ...Good night..... in the morning he will say.. can i come out... we always say no ..later.. well can i have a cookie..we always say later... then he says.. i want a cookie... then we say .... alright here.. as you give it to him he gets excited and here here.. then sometimes he will go yummmmm and sometimes he takes it and throws it down.. and while it is falling he says what did you do that for..? he is a riot.. and does not talk bird talk ..sounds totally clear and perfect speech..View attachment 438094

Does the cockatoo and Mr Cash play together ? Does the cockatoo also speak?

I noticed you said he was a Timneh . I recently saw baby Congos for sale. What is the difference ?

Great looking birds. The senegal is that a type of conure, loud ?

I dont know much about parrots but someone we know in Miami has a caique (think Conure family) looks bit like your senegal and very noisy .
