In the blue tub her colors show better then in the pond. She is a pretty koi, but too messy for my liking.Nice koi, I think garbage is the prettiest.
If you get another koi, what kind are you leaning towards?
Shebunkins are really fat, are they females?
What's the blue thing in your hand?My son and I took advantage of the rainy weather and caught some worms this morning. View attachment 1319029
And we fed some to the fish.

And a few other random pictures of the herd. I’ve been playing around with a new lens my husband got me for my phone. View attachment 1319025View attachment 1319026 View attachment 1319027View attachment 1319028
Lol, that’s my nail. I had on blue nail polish. You can’t see, but I was feeding them slugs. What's the blue thing in your hand?
I used to have a rain powered worm trap that I created, would catch several pounds of worms when it rained
No picture but how about I tell you how to bait them?Lol, that’s my nail. I had on blue nail polish. You can’t see, but I was feeding them slugs.
That sounds awesome! Do you have any pictures of the trap by chance?
I had to catch these guys by hand. Between the cat and son following me around I missed out on some. These guys are fast.
I never thought to bait worms. I’ll have to save some old grounds. Or do you use fresh? I make rounds nearly everyday turning over rocks and wood boards to collect worms, grubs, and snails. I’ll have to see if baiting will increase my collection amount. No picture but how about I tell you how to bait them?
Put coffee grounds under a log or other similar object, wait a day, then flip log and grab worms, place worms in container with a lid,and topsoil with a piece of banana or some bits of news paper, after 24 hours or more in container feed to fish.
Description of how to make a worm trap: find a outlet from a storm drain (find area with few/no chemicals), find a flattish rock, place rock where water will wash over it when it rains, dig a small hole under the front face of the rock(this is where worms will be trapped as they get blown into there by water current).
Check within a few hours after rain.
You can use new or used coffee grounds, I prefer new.I never thought to bait worms. I’ll have to save some old grounds. Or do you use fresh? I make rounds nearly everyday turning over rocks and wood boards to collect worms, grubs, and snails. I’ll have to see if baiting will increase my collection amount.
The worm trap sounds awesome, but I have no drains like that on my land.
