Midevil growth thread

Is this kind of pearling expected in midas/red devils or should I suspect some flowerhorn in the mix? it seems a bit unusual

Honestly not sure, I don’t think I’ve ever seen pearling on any Midevil/Citrinellus/Labiatus. My 4-5 incher I got today doesn’t have any pearling and my first Labiatus didn’t have any either.
