That's crazy; pretty weak on Vitors part. He said before that he would be willing to fight for the title without TRT. From what I've read now, Brazil will be banning TRT as well. Is Vitor going to retire? As a Vitor fan, that's pretty disappointing it makes him look weak and unconfident.
On the other hand, I really like the Machida vs Weidman matchup. It's a tough fight to call, but I'll be pulling for Machida.

Edit: It looks like we jumped the gun a bit with Vitor. He released this statement:

Seems legit.

I didn't jump the gun at all. I just said he pulled out once the ban was in place

from what I understand, you can't just stop using the trt and be normal right away. you have to be kind of weaned off of it. once the trt stops, the body gets weak and you feel like crap for a while. then slowly the body will be able to start producing testosterone on it's own again.

so vitor had to pull out. he couldn't stop the trt and be able to recover in time for a full camp. but he will be able to be the next challenger for the belt without the trt so he meant it when he said before that he'd fight them without it. he just needs to recover from cutting it off atm. I don't see him beating either guy without the trt though

personally, although I love the Weidman/Machida fight, I really really wanted to see vitor fight Weidman. if I can choose I would want vitor first, and then Machida fight winner

Thank you, much needed blanks filled in for me.

I also agree with your time frame and assement of dana's situation. Unlike krich, I dont think cyborg has the same marketability as rousey. She's Reebok, Rousey is Nike

I just hope the fight happens before Ronda goes Hollywood

yea I don't know man. I just really love it when you have two people who are truly #1 and #2 in the world and can be in the same weight class. these are the kind of matchups that need to happen in these combat sports. it's great for the sport, for it's history and it's future, for the fans,......

like I said, this will be the pacquiao/mayweather fight that never happened. (on a smaller scale of course) but this would be bigger than gina carano vs cyborg because it's on the biggest stage in the world. can you imagine the media coverage, the hype, the bad blood??? these two women don't like eachother and are both proned to trash talk. and the ufc will pull out all the stops to promote the fight. they could make big bucks outta this fight. not to mention a rematch. and what if they end up being 1-1 against eachother? the rubber match would be absolutely huge!

Rampage and King Mo in action on Bellator tonight.

What I don't understand is how they will be able to tell. To my knowledge they only test your Testosterone to Epitestosterone (T:E) ratio. They don't specifically test for Synthetic Testosterone. As long as his T:E is within the legal limits, it will be hard to tell if he's been using it.
And yes, you can't got off of TRT right away, but missing a week or two shouldn't slow him down much, if at all.
I really don't know that much about this stuff, so I could be mistaken.

Nice. Hopefully I'll have time to watch at work.

Mirko Cro Cop returns to face Remy Bonjasky at GLORY14 on March 8.

shows the level of competition if page is knocking everyone out. he didn't look too good in last night's fight or his last one

sadly, I think queen mo beats him to a boring decision

from what I've read, the withdrawal or whatever it is is longer than two weeks. but I don't know enough about it to really say. it's just what I've read people say.

but whatever, the whole vitor situation is sketchy as hell. he was randomly tested just before the ban and he pulled out after the ban was announced. first he says he pulled out, then he says the ufc pulled him out then he says he pulled out. he never mentioned the result of the test. everyone is saying he failed it which is why he never mentions the results. plus pulling out means the results stay confidential. also without a license, they can't reveal the results.

Just got finished watching Bellator that I DVR'ed days ago and the post match shenanigans between Rampage and King Mo looked like it was staged. That display could put WWE to shame.
