Kazushi Sakuraba is one of if not the most well known Japanese mma fighter

Also known as the Gracie hunter, he took out 4 of them during the time when the Gracie's were feared and almost unbeatable.

He was a victim of the Japanese freak show style of mma entertainment. A true middle weight, he fought many light heavies and even heavy weights. Brutal beatings by much larger opponents ruined him

I believe he is retired but was still fighting not very long ago.
 
His last mma fight was in sept 2011. He's now 44, he was around 40 in his last bout

He's listed as weighing 167 lbs on sherdog.

He's fought monsters like rampage, wanderlei, kevin randleman, crocop, lil nogueira, freaking Melvin manhoef, Ricardo arona

All guys who are naturally 1-2 weight classes above him. He had no business being in the ring with them. He beat two of them while being brutally stopped by all but one of them

from the guys I listed he armbarred Randleman and rear naked choked rampage

he was tko'd by wanderlei 3 times, tko'd by ricardo arona, crocop and Melvin manhoef

lost a decision to lil nogueira

later in his career he was losing to guys who couldn't hold a candle to him in his prime
 
Thanks for that info Sumo. I really enjoyed watching some of his matches, for the first time this past weekend.
 
Ya, Saku was the man back in the day.

Gustafsson, is getting the winner of Jones, Teixeira. That was a great KO against Manuwa, who was undefeated and had never been hurt.

I enjoyed the Glory card. Kiria vs Ristie was a solid fight, with a good come back win. I agree with Krich, Crocop won that fight, but it was pretty close. Remy probably got the W since it was his retirement fight.

I missed the Canelo vs Angulo, but I heard Canelo stopped him in the 10th.
 
Heading to Chicago in the morning for the Bellator fights. I'll be there as part of a huge group there to cheer on Derek Loffer!

I missed the card, but I see that your boy got the win. Congrats to him.

The UFC card tomorrow looks pretty good. Hendricks failed his first weigh in attempt, but made it his second time. He had to cut an additional 1.5lbs. Nick Diaz was there heckling him haha.
I'm really looking forward to see Lombard again. If he can beat Shields, I say give that man a title shot. With his Judo base and heavy hands, he might end up running the WW division. WW is looking stacked right now with Hendricks, Lawler, Lombard, Condit and many other strong finishers.
 
the division is definitely really interesting now that gsp isn't there.

dana was thinking dolce used a scale that was off calibration in the back because both Hendricks and gastelum missed weight, whom both used the dolce diet in their camp. so they probably made weight back stage with a scale that was off
 
So Hendricks is fighting Diaz,is that why he was there heckling?
