he replaces bobby green to face cowboy cerrone at ufc 178


Scott Coker has already made some changes to the restricting contracts and in eddie's case, grants an unconditional release.

Coker getting s*** done. hopefully we will see Chandler cross over in the near future
 
yea I saw your post but it is now officially announced

it's a great first match up too. it will show where eddie belongs on the ufc lw totem pole.
 
Definitely. Glad it's official now. I love Alvarez and thinks he's a great fighter and had him at number 1 before the first chandler fight, but cerrone has been on a tear and will be a huge test.

I think he will break top ten, maybe even top five but he loses to any of the top three

his record's been a bit padded by fighting guys in bellator with weak grappling and wrestling. chandler is good but he is also another untested big fish in a small pond

I agree with this. I'm don't think he beats the top 5 though. All the same, it's another talented fighter in a talent filled division, so the more the merrier.

Bas Rutten, is releasing videos for his entire career of MMA fights with his own commentary. This is pretty good so far because he talks about his mistakes and how he knew nothing about grappling in the beginning.

I've already seen a lot of his pancrase fights. there's a small part of me that feels some of those fights were fixed. like some of the ko's that bas has, his Japanese opponents seems to exaggerate how hurt they were. it doesn't seem like bas is in on the fix, more like the other fighter throwing the fight. they take clean and real hits but they seem to go down and throw the fight. but that's complete speculation on my part. some of them just seem iffy to me
 
Yeah I've never seen much Pancrase stuff and he did look dominant in those clips but that one Japanese guy did look suspect as he was being tended to lol.
 
I didn't watch the whole Bisping vs Le card, but the main and co-main events were both pretty good. I felt bad for Le, at 42 he should probably hang 'em up. Woodley, looked great. I really like him and Kim, so it was a hard one to call.
Dos Anjos, has really come along well over his last fights. Benderson didn't seem like his old self; I'm not sure what happened. I thought that the stoppage was fair. It could have gone on a little longer, but the result would have been the same I think.
