jay, I think after the positive cocaine test, i'd be ok whether they stripped him or not. if they did, it would be on the grounds of their code of conduct policy. if they don't (which of course they didn't) it's because it was an out of competition testing that they admitted they shouldn't have even been testing for. I would've been fine either way, in this case they didn't
maxx, generally I would agree with you, but if you look into it, dana actually said the ufc waited for facts, and they spoke with jones before making a decision. obviously jones probably admitted to them about his involvement. jones himself tweeted an apology. there was no need to wait for the court to convict him when he's admitting guilt. the ufc have their own policy in which they can punish a fighter as they please. even if the judge decided to let it go for whatever reason, the ufc can still strip and suspend him
