Keep on mind that Dana White is not the top guy in UFC.He has to answer to and satisfy the owners of the company in order to keep his position and they probably instructed him to do something to not only save the show but save the Jones fight in particular.

Dana is the CEO isn't he? I don't think there's anyone above him that I'm aware of unless I'm wrong?
Huh I always thought he owned it. Do you know if it's one person that owns it, or is it a multiple people type thing?
When the Fretita brothers bought the UFC they put White in place to run it.They then sold the company to an investment group and apparently Dana still runs it.
Gotch'ya. I hadn't followed the ownership of it for a number of years now. I thought Dana still owned it.
He actually does own a very small share in the UFC probably thanks to the Fretita brothers who he convinced to buy the company from it's previous owners.
Good Lord these fights suck tonight. I don't think a single one of them has went past 2mins of the first round yet
