More tank pics, updated

The Patch drama has taken another turn. Late Saturday she seemed a bit pale and 'off'. Then this morning I noticed her egg tube out for the first time in months. Even looks like she may have a few, But the swelling is going up again and now her buoyancy is shot. I saw her resting in plants figuring she was doing her crazy sleeping again, but an hour later she was belly up at the top unable to right herself. So she's back where she started last year in October.

I changed her water again (she's been getting fresh stuff every day). She's resting in a net back in the bucket. I gave her a meth blue/epsom bath. air bubbler next to her gills.

Will call the vet monday and shoot them an email to see if they have any test results. The doctor did say it's even possible an infectious cell(s) could be attached to an organ causing her body to overproduce fluid.

Man, I'm tired.

It's over. ?

Patch struggled and fought, but her body finally won out. She flapped her gills a few more times, rolled an eye in my direction and that was it. The test results don't matter now. Might take some time off from posting. Just an outstanding fish full of personality. Always wanted a gold colored or piebald parrot, maybe I'll look into that.

Did I spend money on her for the vet? Sure. But she was worth it.

So sorry to hear.
She was a good fish, you did everything you could have. Not many of us can say we put that much work in for a fish, and if nothing else, it bought her much more time than I would have thought.
Sometimes nature just wins over medicine.

It always sucks when you spend so much time, effort, and love on a sick fish... but it just dies. I feel ya. Same happened to me a few weeks ago to, "Jewel", my Jewel cichlid.

I posted a thread on a medical report I read regarding female parrots/cysts...I commented on how there was another female parrot Patch's age/size and she had swelling but expired 3 days after treatment and aspirate (something to do with osmosis/fluid shock). Although the other fish wasn't eating Patch was. I'm not saying the situation was the same with both fish but it's bizarre how the end result was the same. Only difference was Patch lived 5 more days instead of 3.

Final measurement ~7 inches, weight 145 grams.

Farewell, Patch...you were the bomb.

Try not to feel too disheartened @FINWIN. I honestly don't know of anyone else on this forum who would have done what you have in an attempt to fix Patch. You have gone above and beyond of what is expected regarding caring for your fish. You should be proud.

:ripPatch.?

Thanks everyone. I moved Tango into the fish room this morning. He is loving the extra space and seems like a different fish now that he isn't isolated. No skittishness at all. Dancing and exploring.

Kong kept staring at the tank yesterday and today. I covered her tank while I was transporting Tango. When I finished and removed the cover she went berserk, ramming the glass and swimming wildly in circles before going in her hutch. She did this a few times before settling down. The fish in the 225 won't go to the end of the tank where Patch was. It's bizarre and eerie. Things should settle down in a few days.

I'm hoping the vet can provide answers. I'll be pretty ticked if they can't.
