And just why is Cash thin? Guess where the food is going.

These are un-named jumbos. More sons of Pip/Mongo (land of the Giants). Keep in mind these are a little younger than their beef brothers siblings.

I love the organization displayed in that post! Wish I could be that methodical. Pellets labelled as to size? Impressive.

If I'm going to be honest...I'm probably less enthused about the grow-out bucket...:)

FINWIN FINWIN ...you really do need a Jelly Cat or Wolffish or RTC or Gulper or something with a...er, um..."healthy" appetite. :)
The bathtub is the growout. Two huge airstones and fresh water every two days. Total time about 15 minutes for a w/c! That's the best option until I can transition all these hrps out. The keepers are already in their permanent tanks.

LOL guess I'm a softie, I could never feed them away (looks sideways at approx 350 hrps).

The pellet thing is because no matter how neat It tried to be they keep spilling out of the seal bags. Then moisture gets to them and I have to clean up a mess on the shelves in the fridge. I'll still have to pull out the shelves and wipe them down sometime this week.

If I gave my Oscar a ball and plant he’d destroy both
I had a big fake plant which he pulled the branches off and destroyed
I have 3 fake plants and he somehow managed to remove the plant out of the base… it was glued
LOL Brick does the same thing! He loves ripping stems out of the plant bases and I'll find them floating. His favorite is the tall bushy plants (24") he pulls out stems leaving stumps. He pushes the other stuff around but doesn't tear it up. I wish I knew what it is about that one particular style of plant he likes to wreck.

He likes his old scrubby basketball though. Has a good time hurling it across the room.

Updates

Yay! Got everything needed for Jazz's tank! The support shelf arrived this week along with the dark green sand. Hopefully I can set up everything this weekend.

There are two other Petco's in my area I'll give a buzz about these hrps. The fry out of Squiggy and Flash will have to come out of Lazarus' tank soon. They had a growth spurt. This batch will be going in the tub. As I move the babies into the tub the breeding pairs will be separated. In the growout there are maybe 10 fry out of Xena/Brutus.

Mica's fry will be right behind. They're smaller but so is the window in Tango's tank. The 125 will stay pat for now. The older fry of Slade/Speck are almost half grown. The fry from Blaze/Mongo are most numerous. The other fry are from Blaze/Slade and Harlequin/Slade. Harlequin's are the youngest.

So the numbers look like this roughly

Hrps in tub left over 27 with 5 jumbos. 3 large and various smaller.

Trying again, this is the rest of the previous post.
So the numbers look like this estimated

Hrps in tub left over = 27 with 5 jumbos, 3 large and various smaller. A 6th jumbo went into the 125.

Flash/Squiggy = 50

Mica/Mello = 40-50

Blaze/Mongo = 55 ?

Blaze /Slade = 50?

Speck/Slade (second batch) 40?

Harlequin/Slade = 20?

Brutus/Xena = 10 (got thinned out)

Really entertaining and amazing behaviors from this extended family of fish and a "triangle" drama. More on that later.
